In July of 2007 ElectroMedia Inc. was one of the 1st companies in the US to have been approved by Panasonic on their new "I-Pro" IP base security camera certification. With the ever changing technology today, especially IP (Internet based) devices Panasonic and ElectroMedia Inc. have taken an aggressive approach to leading the way in IP cameras and network recorders. One of Panasonic's main goals for establishing the I-Pro dealer certification was to protect the end customer from having ill equipped companies install cameras that lack the understanding of network architecture, IP schemes, Bandwidth overhead, IGMP, quality of service and V-LAN. Without proper knowledge and setup a network can easily be brought to it's knees. Given ElectroMedia Inc. history with Panasonic's security division and phone systems the birth of this technology made for a perfect match on the part of both companies. Being one of only 13 companies in the entire state of Michigan with the ability to purchase and install Panasonic's I-Pro camera and recorder line, allows Panasonic to ensure the quality of installation needed to promote there advance cameras and network recorders.
